OASIS Pro System Requirements

OASIS Pro v3.x and later requires Windows 9x, Me, NT4, 2000, XP or Vista operating systems. For Windows 3.1x, please consult your local FUJIFILM office.
Any Pentium PC with a minimum of 32MB of RAM is recommended for use with Windows 9x. For other operating systems, the minimum specification required to run the operating system is sufficient. As with all Windows programs, speed of response of the OASIS program increases with a faster computer and with more RAM available. A native parallel port (not a replicator) is required for installation and use of any existing OASIS Pro to v3.02; a USB-dongle version (v 3.07) is now available (Autumn 2007) at extra cost.
Any printer or other output device fully supported by Windows may be used.
Although any Hayes-compatible modem can be used for serial communications (using the Symantec ProComm package, available through Fuji Hunt) with OASIS Pro, we have found the 3com-US Robotics units to be troublefree. Talk to your local Fuji Hunt representative to find out which model to buy.
OASIS Pro version 3.x adds e-mail support and data transfer functions to your OASIS program (all versions, including Lite); many users may find this better suits their communications needs. This requires an existing Internet connection (not supplied by Fuji Hunt).

Notice to OASIS Pro Monitor users only : OASIS Pro Monitor users are advised that the "Write Letter" function is not currently supported in version 3.x under Windows XP, or Office 2000 or XP, although all other OASIS functions operate correctly. OASIS Pro Monitor users wishing to prepare Word letters are advised to continue using Windows 9x / 2000 and Office (or Word) 95 or 97. This limitation ONLY affects the "Write Letter" function; Excel 2000 and 2003/XP, and all other functions under Windows 2000 or XP have been tested and work without problem. If you need to write letters using Word, avoid Windows XP / Office 2000 or later.
