Ink system

The UV curable ink is packed in two-litre ink bags (white, 1 litre) to minimise ink changes. The system includes an intelligent sensor to alert the operator of ink change requirements before actually running out. It also ensures correct ink colour installation. The ink change system takes only seconds to complete with minimum waste and operator intervention. This four-colour CMYK system + white uses 35 % less ink than a six-colour system + white and with better or equivalent print results.

White printing

The Acuity Advance boasts an optional white ink module that allows white to be used as part of the image content or as an underprint or overprint layer. Unlike many other printers, the white ink can be printed in-line, allowing much greater potential in the application of white within a job. But perhaps what is most impressive is the ability of the Acuity Advance to print up to three distinct layers on any given job with bright, opaque Uvijet white ink.
